District 2 Discussion Panel

WHAT: The event is a discussion panel featuring the candidates for Katie RIce’s soon to be vacant seat in District 2 for the upcoming Marin County Board of Supervisors election. All 4 candidates (Brian Colbert, Heather McPhail Sridharan, Ryan O’Neil, and Gabe Paulson) have committed to attend. A broad range of topics of interest to Marin voters will be discussed.

WHO: All members of the public are invited. Admittance is free. The event is sponsored and will be moderated by Access4Bikes Votes. A similar event last year had over 100 attendees.

WHEN and WHERE: The event will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 6-8 PM at the Fairfax Pavilion at 142 Bolinas Road. Parking is available at the Pavilion or in downtown Fairfax. The schedule of events includes meet-and-greet beginning at 6, opening statements by the candidates at 6:30, questions from the moderator at 6:45, and questions from the public at 7:30pm.

WHY: Access4Bikes Votes is sponsoring the event to raise public awareness about the candidates in the important upcoming Board of Supervisors election. We feel it is critical that the community understands the positions of their potential new local elected officials prior to the election. In addition to local recreation/lifestlye matters, Access4Bikes will ask the candidates to share their opinions on other community issues, such as traffic, crime, growth, schools, and helping the unhoused.
